I love my Twisted Peppermint candle from Bath & Body Works so much that I had to get one more last week since there was only a couple left on clearance {and I had a 20% off coupon}. I like to burn it as long as possible while I’m home, and now my last one is already half-way gone. Gotta enjoy it while I can!

It was time to get a cone for Star, our dog. She got a bug bite or something on her left paw a month or two ago. She kept licking and licking and licking. UGH the sound is so annoying! Plus now it’s a habit and she has several bald spots going up her paw/arm. And her arm is swollen because she won’t leave it alone. I also bought some itch relief spray that has oatmeal and vitamins in it to help her. Hopefully a week will do her some good. She does NOT like the cone though. Poor girl!

Ben took Nathaniel shopping for snow clothes because the scout snow campout is this weekend. We got the gloves for a dollar or two at Goodwill a couple weeks ago. The snow boots came from Goodwill for $5. The pants (over his jeans) and 2 jackets came from Wal-Mart from the clearance rack. He already had the black hoodie. Nathaniel is so excited and can’t wait to go play and sleep in the snow!

Nathaniel cleaned up his room and spread blankets all over the floor, then he fell asleep. Madison, my Dad’s dog, came and snuggled by him & took a nap, too! They look so cute together!

As you can see, I cut 9 inches off Nathaniel’s hair – he asked me to do it! I like longer hair on guys, but I think in this case, it was getting a little too long for him. Everyone loves his new hair, including Nathaniel! {the next day at church, everyone was shocked to see his short hair, some people didn’t even recognize him, but they ALL love it}

I took the kids (including 3 friends who had never gone) to Krispy Kreme to get FREE donuts for A’s on their report cards! You can get up to 6 free glazed donuts. Some got 4 others got 5 free donuts! WOOOHOOO!!!

I love my fuzzy socks! I wear them whenever I’m at home & they keep my feet snuggly warm, which is what I need especially with concrete floors! As soon as I came home from church, I kicked off my heels {which I love – I know I’m weird} and grabbed my soft fuzzy socks! I even wear them to bed, so I don’t have to put my ice cold feet on Ben to warm them up! HAHAHAA
I tried to do a photo-a-day in 2009 and only got half-way thru February. I REALLY wish that I would have finished, but I can’t go back in time. Last year I didn’t even attempt it. Oh well. I am going to give it another try this year. Plus I have an awesome new cell phone that takes pretty good pictures (much better than my old phone) and it has internet so I can upload straight from my phone! It makes it a lot easier to capture moments as they happen with my phone in my pocket all the time. Probably most of my pictures will be UN-edited because I may upload directly to my blog from my phone.
Ok, so I’m going to upload my first 12 days in this post instead of 12 separate posts.

We rang in the new year with a few fireworks at home!
We switched to 8:30am church schedule, and we actually left the house early & got to church early! YAY!!
Kids went back to school, so I headed off to the gym. Time to get back into my routine too.

We roasted gigantic marshmallows in our fireplace. They were warm, gooey & yummy!!
Just a couple of my fave treats that I may or may not hide in my closet so I don’t have to share – Circus Peanuts and Dark Chocolate Doves.
My 36th Birthday! Ben got me a dozen gorgeous white roses {my favorite} and a Cold Stone Creamery Peanut Butter and Chocolate ice cream cake! It was a good day! {I’m not thrilled that you can see the paper towel right next to my beautiful flowers in the picture. LOL}
We went to dinner for my birthday at Chili’s {the night before}. This was my take-home {free} birthday dessert – Hot fudge brownie sundae. It was delicious with my lunch today!
I’m rockin’ my Gold Glitter polish by OPI. I don’t paint my fingernails often, so it was kind of fun to be *sparkly* for a day or two, then it all chipped off.
I substituted in Anson’s primary class at church. The kids made these badges to go with the lesson & wore on their shirts - “I know Heavenly Father trusts me to CTR (Choose the Right)”

A horse {who apparently was in his 30’s} in our neighborhood died recently, so someone posted these flowers and this sign “In loving memory of Ike the horse” and Ashley is signing her name on the 2nd page. I signed it when she was done.

Apparently I have a long list of favorite treats. haha! These are on that list – dark chocolate covered dried fruits & nuts from Sprouts. In this mixture are almonds, cashews, walnuts, cherries, cranberries, and blueberries. Sprouts didn’t have any Goji berries too, when I got these a couple days ago. YUM!
