Day 21 – Donuts, donuts and more donuts!

I took the kids (including 3 friends who had never gone) to Krispy Kreme to get FREE donuts for A’s on their report cards! You can get up to 6 free glazed donuts. Some got 4 others got 5 free donuts! WOOOHOOO!!!

Ashley's had a fever for 3 days, so I went to the store to get more meds for her (tylenol & ibuprofen) plus some popsicles. Those always seemed to be a nice treat when stuck at home sick.

Second Chance…

I tried to do a photo-a-day in 2009 and only got half-way thru February. I REALLY wish that I would have finished, but I can’t go back in time. Last year I didn’t even attempt it. Oh well. I am going to give it another try this year. Plus I have an awesome new cell phone that takes pretty good pictures (much better than my old phone) and it has internet so I can upload straight from my phone! It makes it a lot easier to capture moments as they happen with my phone in my pocket all the time. Probably most of my pictures will be UN-edited because I may upload directly to my blog from my phone.

Ok, so I’m going to upload my first 12 days in this post instead of 12 separate posts.

My 36th Birthday! Ben got me a dozen gorgeous white roses {my favorite} and a Cold Stone Creamery Peanut Butter and Chocolate ice cream cake! It was a good day! {I’m not thrilled that you can see the paper towel right next to my beautiful flowers in the picture. LOL}

We went to dinner for my birthday at Chili’s {the night before}. This was my take-home {free} birthday dessert – Hot fudge brownie sundae. It was delicious with my lunch today!

A horse {who apparently was in his 30’s} in our neighborhood  died recently, so someone posted these flowers and this sign “In loving memory of Ike the horse” and Ashley is signing her name on the 2nd page. I signed it when she was done.

Apparently I have a long list of favorite treats. haha! These are on that list – dark chocolate covered dried fruits & nuts from Sprouts. In this mixture are almonds, cashews, walnuts, cherries, cranberries, and blueberries. Sprouts didn’t have any Goji berries too, when I got these a couple days ago. YUM!

Every year on Groundhog Day, we go to my parents' house for a yummy dinner & treats, then we watch the movie 'Groundhog Day'! We always have a BLAST and that movie is hilarious!! This year my Mom made sliders (mini hamburgers) with grilled onions on rolls, tater tots, grapes, pineapple, orange slices, lemon-limeade & brownies with vanilla & chocolate frosting. I brought the Rice Krispy treats.

After lunch with my Mom at Subway, I went to Sprout's & bought some really fresh Jordan Almonds as a treat for the kids! I can't seem to keep my hand out of the candy jar. They're so yummy!

I made homemade chicken & vegetable soup with grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. I only cheated a little by using a store-bought rotisserie chicken. After dinner, Nathaniel decided to snack on the chicken skin. I can't understand WHY he thinks it's so yummy! Eeeewwww!
